Two individuals have been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that transpired on Interstate 15 this past August, as per an update from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Damarion Bell and 23-year-old Jasahn Lovette, were detained on Friday, and are currently held in Clark County Detention Center. According to information provided by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, they were booked on multiple felony warrants which include the charge of open murder with a deadly weapon.
The initial incident report was issued following an emergency call to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Communications on the evening of August 8, around 8:30 p.m., indicating the presence of a shooting on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15. Upon arrival, officers found a gray SUV and its driver with gunshot wounds. Medical responders rapidly transported the victim to UMC, where, regrettably, he was pronounced deceased. This deadly encounter momentarily paralyzed the bustling highway as law enforcement strove to fully understand the sequence of events that had unfolded in such an abrupt and violent manner.
