Tempe residents, it's your time to be heard. The Tempe Community Council (TCC), in collaboration with Arizona State University’s Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center (SIRC), is seeking input from locals to shape the future of human services in the area. If you're 18 or older and call Tempe home, step up and take the Human Services Needs Assessment survey before October 20 to make your voice count, according to the City of Tempe official website.

This comprehensive questionnaire, taking roughly 25 minutes to complete, comes in both English and Spanish and isn't just another item on your to-do list. Participants stand to win one of three $45 gift cards, a little thank you for contributing to the collective understanding of the community's needs. Remember, your response helps TCC fine-tune the support and services that can foster self-sufficiency, crisis intervention, and ultimately, a higher quality of life.

"In the coming months, TCC will convene service providers, the faith community, city employees, and people who receive or need human services in further exploration of the findings in this report. Beginning with the areas that were identified as priorities, we will design strategies, actions, and outcome measures to implement and measure meaningful community impact," stated Community Impact Manager Kim Van Nimwegen in an announcement obtained by the City of Tempe about the survey's goals.

Don't mix this up with the City of Tempe Community Survey you got back in July. The ASU SIRC-TCC partnership's enquiry aims at different aspects of local life and, all Tempe residents are urged to lead this charge even if they’ve previously contributed to Tempe's data trove. It's all about focusing on those critical areas needing attention and plotting a course towards tangible improvements.

Founded in 1972, TCC isn't just another nonprofit. It's a community staple that threads together government, nonprofits, faith groups, and residents, building a foundation for the public good.
