
An argument at a Halloween party in Southwest Oklahoma City turned deadly when gunfire erupted early Saturday morning, claiming the life of 18-year-old Gerardo Sandoval and injuring 14 others, report local authorities. According to KFOR, Oklahoma City Police responded to the shooting at a venue near SW 59th St. and S Agnew Ave. around 12:30 a.m., where they later detained three men in connection with the violent incident.
Police revealed the two individuals facing first-degree murder charges are 19-year-old Jaziel Ramos and 20-year-old Thomas Santiago, while Abraham Violante, also 20, faces multiple complaints of assault with a deadly weapon, as per News9; the argument between two groups at the party escalated leading to gunfire both inside, and outside of Patty's Event Center with no security present to intervene.
The incident has left two victims in critical condition, and despite the swift arrest of the suspects, the Oklahoma City Police Department is pursuing further leads and urges anybody with information to reach out via their Homicide Tip Line, noted KOCO. In a statement obtained by News9, Oklahoma City Police Capt. Valerie Littlejohn confirmed, "Shots were fired both inside and outside of the venue," underscoring the chaotic nature of the events that transpired.
