During a routine traffic stop for false tags on Sunday afternoon in Benicia, a 24-year-old Vallejo man, identified by the police as Elijah Dixon, was found in possession of a ghost gun and ammunition, Benicia Police Department reported.
Dixon was arrested after officers discovered the firearm, which had a bullet in the chamber and was accompanied by two fully loaded magazines, during an on-view arrest that occurred at the intersection of Lake Herman Road and E 2nd Street, Benicia, as per the Benicia Police Department.
The Benicia Police Department expressed their commitment to community safety, stating, "The individual was arrested and transported to County Jail in Fairfield," thereby underscoring the prevalent concern across cities surrounding the implications of untraceable firearms known as ghost guns. At the same time, they are pleased to have removed another dangerous weapon from the streets.
