
The Metropolitan Police Department has put out a call for help from the public in tracking down a suspect they believe to be responsible for a sexual abuse incident in Northwest, Washington D.C. The reported crime took place in the early hours of Wednesday, October 9, when a woman, walking along the 1300 block of Clifton Street NW, was approached by an armed man who proceeded to make unwanted sexual contact with her before fleeing the scene.
According to the details provided by the Metropolitan Police Department's release, the suspect is a medium-built black male, estimated to weigh around 150 pounds, and was last noticed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt paired with black pants, this description aims to assist community members in identifying the individual whom the authorities are desperate to apprehend in connection to the crime.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:47 a.m., has prompted the MPD to offer a reward of up to $1,000 for information that would lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect in question, which emphasizes the gravity with which the MPD regards this matter.
