White Settlement residents planning to handle utility billing in person may need to adjust their schedules this week as City officials have announced changes to operating hours for the Utility Billing lobby window and drive-thru window. According to a social media post from the City of White Settlement, the aforementioned payment locations will be closed for one hour each day, between noon and 1 pm, from Tuesday through Thursday.
For those looking to make payments during the closure periods, the city has advised residents to utilize alternative methods, including kiosks available in the drive-thru area "If you need to make a utility payment during those times, please utilize the kiosks in the drive thru," the City of White Settlement advised, additionally providing various other payment options accessible via a link included in their social media communication, the convenience is designed to mitigate the temporary absence of in-person services.
This temporary closure affects those who may prefer or depend on face-to-face transactions, particularly during the typical lunch hour period when many residents may have time to attend to such errands. City officials have not provided specific reasons for the closure, but the expectation set is that normal operations will resume following this brief three-day adjustment
