The accident took place yesterday, near Forester Street, around 4:15 p.m., leading to a head-on crash with a black SUV, which resulted in the fatality and minor injuries to the SUVs occupants. The Sterling Heights Police Department alongside fire department personnel responded urgently to the scene where the woman, who was the sole occupant of her vehicle, succumbed to her injuries resulting from the incident and the occupants of the SUV were treated for minor injuries they were released without needing to go to the hospital, which WXYZ validated in their coverage; police have stated that neither alcohol nor drugs seem to be a contributing factor in this unfortunate event.
