For those departing from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, securing a convenient parking spot is now more streamlined than ever before, with a range of options to fit every traveler’s budget and expectations, as detailed in a recent post from the City of Austin's official website. Drivers can make use of the Blue Garage, which features a smart parking guidance system leading directly to open spaces, mitigating the hassle of finding a spot. Those who prefer maximum proximity can opt for the Red Garage, the nearest parking structure to the Barbara Jordan Terminal, offering easy transitions from your vehicle to the airline check-in.
AUS offers a variety of parking options to suit all travelers. The Blue Garage features "Find Your Car" kiosks and an app for real-time space availability, while the Red Garage offers two covered levels and quick access to the terminal. Blue Garage rates start at $5.00 per hour, with a daily maximum of $23.00, as per the City of Austin. Red Garage has the same hourly rate but a daily cap of $32.00. For stays longer than 30 days, travelers should contact customer service for assistance.
Not to be overshadowed, budget-conscious flyers have access to Economy Parking which doesn't skimp on convenience, providing round-the-clock shuttle services to the terminal every 10-15 minutes. Short-term parking presents a prime solution, positioned on Level 3 of the Red Garage for immediate terminal access at the same rate as the Red Garage. AUS also reintroduced its Frequent Parker Program, enticing regular travelers with a loyalty system where accumulated points can be exchanged for complimentary parking and managed through an online portal, as explained in the recent guide by the City of Austin's official site.
