According to a report by QC News, the fire broke out around 5:48 a.m. and prompted a response from multiple fire companies. The flames were brought under control in approximately 19 minutes, with no immediate information available regarding any injuries.
The Concord Fire Department arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the one-story home, as reported on the City of Concord NC Fire Department's Facebook page. This account detailed the participation of Engine Co. 7, 9, 3, 12, Ladder Co. 7, Rescue Co. 3, Battalion 2&3, and Safety 1, who collectively tackled the blaze and subdued a ferocity of the flames.

The locus of the incident, situated near the convergence of Poplar Tent Road and George W.
