A 61-year-old Coos Bay resident, Willard Verdell Cowan, has been condemned to a 25-year sentence in a federal penitentiary following his conviction for sexually exploiting a minor. The sentence, handed down yesterday, also includes a lifelong term of supervised release, as announced by the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon.
