Heads up, Corvallis commuters, if you're planning to take Route 7 this weekend, you're going to need to factor in a slight change of plans. HP is closing its gates for maintenance from today, through Sunday, which means the route is going to have to take a bit of a detour.
Specifically, the detour will affect the outbound journey. Buses will turn south from Walnut Blvd. to HP and service the HP north bus stop. Unfortunately, that means the Hewlett-Packard South Entrance stop (10331) will be temporarily out of service. Make sure to plan to avoid getting caught off guard.
On the flip side, the inbound route doesn't seem to be as disrupted by this temporary change. Buses will still turn west on Walnut Blvd from HP and then resume their regular routes. And good news for riders, no inbound stops will be out of service during the detour days.
For more detailed information or for any updates that might pop up, riders can check out the official Corvallis City Transit System narrates all the nitty-gritty on their website. Just click on this link, City of Corvallis and you'll find everything you need to know about the Route 7 detour, schedules, and more, all thanks courtesy of Wednesday's announcement.
So remember to adjust your travel plans accordingly for this weekend if you're going to be near Walnut Blvd or trying to access HP. It might mean leaving a little earlier or coordinating with different stops, but with a heads-up and some planning, you'll be sure to get where you need to go without too much hassle.
