
A Dahlonega man is facing significant charges after law enforcement uncovered a large quantity of methamphetamine and other controlled substances at his residence. Tony Lamar Sullens, 59, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, along with possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV controlled substances, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
On Friday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that Sullens's arrest originated from a probation violation warrant. A search executed at his property led to the discovery of more than 600 grams of what is believed to be Methamphetamine, and a varied assortment of pills including over 80 suspected Hydrocodone tablets and more than 110 suspected Alprazolam pills.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, Department of Community Supervision, and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office collaborated in the investigation, which remains active. Sullens is now housed in the Lumpkin County Detention Center, as detailed by GBI.
