
Travel through Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Hollywood was disrupted on Saturday when a small debris flow spurred by wet weather conditions partially closed the road. This unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. near the southbound lanes, as reported by CBS News. The Los Angeles Fire Department swiftly arrived on the scene, barricading the impacted area close to Kirkwood Drive to prevent any potential dangers to passing motorists.
The Los Angeles Fire Department issued an alert, providing additional details on the issue at hand. "Small debris flow from a retaining wall failure onto N Laurel Canyon Road. No structures damaged and no injuries reported. Currently, Southbound traffic on N Laurel Canyon is closed at Kirkwood,” declared their official statement. The LA Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) is assessing the situation and will determine if a full closure is necessary.
The incident has been transferred to LADBS, and no further updates are expected from LAFD.
