
Residents of downtown Mesa are in for a festive treat as Mayor John Giles partners up with the "It’s Always Cool in Mesa" podcast to produce a holiday variety show that's sure to spark joy and reflection. The event, slated for Nov. 29, offers two performances at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Mesa Arts Center, including a live rendition of "The Man Who Killed Santa Claus." Special guest Emma Nissen, a notable singer and songwriter, as detailed by the City of Mesa.
Merry Main Street events add extra sparkle to downtown. Tickets are $10 and available through the Mesa Arts Center box office (480-644-6500) or online at mesaartscenter.com. Looking forward to the event, Giles expressed his anticipation to the City of Mesa, "The holiday season in Mesa is something I look forward to each year, and I love that this evening of great music, storytelling and entertainment has become a tradition for everyone to enjoy."
Immersive not only in music and tales, those attending the show on Nov. 29 are encouraged to partake in the festive environment that extends beyond the stage. Participants can revel in the Merry Main Street tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. and are invited to support downtown eateries before or after getting their dose of holiday spirit. Moreover, the spirit of the season is prolonged through numerous activities, including ice skating, to entertain locals and visitors alike throughout the holiday period, as per the City of Mesa.
