The Gastonia Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man accused of secretly recording a female shopper at a TJ Maxx store. According to WBTV, the incident occurred last month, at the department store located off Gaston Mall Drive near Cox Road.
The police have released photos of the suspect, hopeful that someone might recognize him. The pictures show a male figure who seems, to be unknowingly captured, during the act of recording the unsuspecting woman. QC News reports detail a more specific description of the incident, alleging that the man in question was recording video up a woman's skirt.
In an effort to widen the search, the Gastonia Police have turned to social media platforms. They have posted on the official Gastonia Police Department Facebook page stating, "Gastonia Police are seeking the public's help identifying the man in the attached photos. The man is under investigation for secretly recording/taking pictures of a female victim at a department store in Gastonia. If you know who that is or recognize the tattoos, please call 704-866-6702."
The department hasn't released any details regarding the identity of the victim or the full extent of the recordings. They have, instead focused attention on apprehending the suspect, whose identity remains unknown to the public.
