
The Gilroy Police Department is reaching out to the public, seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that occurred at the local Tamale Festival. The alleged gang-related altercation happened on the evening of September 28, as officers were dispatched to an urgent call from the 7500 block of Monterey Street.
According to the initial accounts of the event, a group of five male individuals reportedly assaulted an adult male. During the assault, the victim sustained serious injuries to his upper body due to the use of an edged weapon. Four of the involved suspects have already been apprehended, including one adult male and three juveniles, who are now being held at the Santa Clara County Jail and Juvenile Hall.
In pursuit of closing the case, the investigating team requires the community's help to locate the fifth suspect still at large. The Gilroy Police Department shared a photo of the remaining suspect.
