An 18-year-old man, Vahe Gyurjinyan, has been charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, following a road rage incident in Glendale that left three men with serious injuries. As per ABC7, the stabbings occurred near San Rafael Avenue and Dryden Street around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
According to the City of Glendale, a fight broke out following the road rage dispute, and Gyurjinyan, from Glendale, was taken into custody two days after the incident.
The arrest and subsequent charging decisively follow diligent investigative work from Glendale's homicide detectives. "Officers who responded to the scene "determined that a fight had broken out between several men following a road rage incident," as detailed by ABC7. Gyurjinyan pled not guilty during his arraignment and is due back in court on December 16. He remains in custody with bail set at $2 million. Additionally, a juvenile suspect has also been arrested in connection with the attack, though details on the involvement and charges remain sparse.
Further, only minutes after the road rage incident, a second, unrelated stabbing occurred in the same city, adding to a night of violence in Glendale. "The second incident unfolded mere minutes later, around 8:03 p.m., on Windsor Road," as reported by Hoodline. This time, the suspect, who appeared intoxicated, was apprehended after the altercation and is currently in police custody. While the victim in this instance declined hospital transport, this consecutive event contributed to a heightened concern for public safety.
