Glendale's local business scene just got a fresh infusion of creativity with the introduction of two new tenants to its Artsakh Creative Retail Pop-Up Accelerator Program. According to the City of Glendale, the program, now in its fifth phase, continues to bolster up-and-coming ventures by offering six months of rent-free access to city-owned spaces in the bustling Artsakh Paseo area.

The latest additions are No Easy Props, a hip-hop dance studio catering to all ability levels, and Wallflower Market LA, a woman-led pop-up market that focuses on empowering small businesses and fostering community interaction. These newcomers join a diverse array of establishments including a comedy club and a craft brewery, each adding their unique flair to the cultural tapestry of Artsakh Avenue. Notably, the program has been held as a model for economic development, drawing attention from far and wide for an innovative approach to nurturing small businesses.

Wallflower Market LA is scheduled for its soft opening this Saturday, November 30th, where 10% of the sales will support Real Good Dog Rescue. "These tenants exemplify the purpose of this program. While they both will help propel Artsakh Avenue as a cultural and arts destination, our city will also benefit as residents and visitors discover these outstanding, community-focused operators," Soua Vang, Glendale’s Deputy Director of Economic Development, told the announcement's publication.

Meanwhile, No Easy Props, founded by Executive Director Asia Yu, will offer a space not just for hip-hop dance, but also for the custom curation of urban apparel and accessories, from bespoke sneakers to vintage wear. "Spaces for people to connect, learn, and create art are essential for any community. In addition, we can provide more opportunities for people who want to customize their clothing, shoes, and accessories," Yu shared with the press. The non-profit plans its opening for Friday, November 29th, adding to the program's legacy of success stories on the vibrant Artsakh corridor.

Glendale, housing nearly 200,000 residents, continues to showcase its commitment to cultural diversity and economic vitality through initiatives like the Artsakh Creative Retail Pop-Up Accelerator Program. Such efforts not only aid in the city's vision to develop into an arts and entertainment hub but also support local entrepreneurs in laying down tangible roots within the community.
