The search for a missing Hesperia woman ended tragically when her body was discovered in a California aqueduct earlier this week. The SBSD Hesperia Police Department confirmed that 69-year-old Supranee Poolswasdi, who had been reported missing early Saturday morning, was found deceased in the waters of the aqueduct. According to a statement released by the department, there appeared to be no signs of foul play.
Poolswasdi, described as being 5'2" with black hair and dark eyes, had mysteriously left her home on the 13800 block of Mayapple Street around 2:30 a.m. without her items. Reportedly, she had medical conditions that could make her confused without medication, as reported by CBS News Los Angeles. Her disappearance prompted an urgent search by local authorities.
The case took a turn when a Sheriff's Tracking K9 unit successfully traced Poolswasdi's trail to the nearby aqueduct. This discovery led investigators to bring in the Sheriff's Dive Team for assistance. As detailed by the SBSD Hesperia Police Department, the dive team's efforts culminated at approximately 1:00 p.m. with the retrieval of her body, which was subsequently extracted and identified with aid from the San Bernardino Fire Department.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, under Shannon D. Dicus, has requested that anyone in the public with further information about the case contact Detective Oakleaf at 760-947-1500.
