Houston is set for a record-breaking November with some of the hottest temperatures on record, and it looks like the heat will continue through Thanksgiving. According to the National Weather Service, early risers in Houston should bundle up as morning temperatures are in the 40s. However, by Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise to the low 70s thanks to southeasterly winds. These winds will also bring moisture from the Gulf, pushing Sunday morning temperatures nearly 10 degrees higher than Saturday’s.
The warm weather is expected to last into early next week, with temperatures reaching the low 80s across Southeast Texas. However, a cold front may bring some relief by Monday and Tuesday, along with possible showers that could affect Thanksgiving travel. Travelers are advised to stay updated on the latest weather forecasts.
This November has been unusually warm, with average highs over 80 degrees, which is rare for the month. The average temperature is around 73 degrees, about three degrees higher than the previous record. With La Niña still affecting the weather, Texans may not be able to fully unpack their winter clothes yet. This warmth matches the trends seen this month.
