
Two residents of Howe, Oklahoma, have pleaded guilty in connection with the sexual abuse of a minor. Armondo Joseph Palma, 22, pleaded guilty to transporting a minor for illicit purposes. Brooklyn Elaine Wilson, 27, admitted to four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor and one count of possessing material related to the sexual exploitation of a minor. These pleas were reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The case, which took place in the Choctaw Nation Reservation. The indictment detailed that in December 2023, Palma had knowingly transported a minor from Oklahoma to Missouri with the intention of engaging in a sexual act; meanwhile, Wilson participated in sexual acts with a child under the age of 12 on multiple occasions with varying intent and, on a separate instance she possessed a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct which lasted from about August of 2023 until about April of 2024 and this was in December of 2023, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma oversaw the guilty pleas of Palma and Wilson. Both will remain in federal custody until their sentencing, which will follow a presentence investigation. The investigation involved multiple agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Rogers County Sheriff's Office, and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Caila M. Cleary represented the government. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but the guilty pleas ensure both individuals will face legal consequences for their actions, as stated by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
