The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a tragic traffic accident that claimed the life of an elderly driver at the 1800 block of Foxhall Rd of Northwest D.C. According to a release from the MPD, the incident occurred in the early hours of October 24, 2024, around 1:00 a.m., when 88-year-old Francoise Parmentier lost control of her vehicle after hitting the curb and subsequently collided with a tree.
Despite the immediate response of the emergency services Parmentier was transported to a local hospital, she did not survive the injuries sustained during the crash, leading to her death last Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
