Following a recent event of gunfire in Canton Township, Jordon Campbell, a 22-year-old, is presently facing serious legal repercussions. On a late October day, multiple rounds were allegedly fired by Campbell into an occupied home on Annapolis Circle, culminating in charges that could entail lengthy confinement behind bars, as reported by FOX 2 Detroit.
Despite the trepidation and potential trauma faced, fortunately, none within the domicile, which included children and adults, were physically harmed during the shooting incident on Oct. 29. Taken into custody in Detroit last Friday, Campbell has since been indicted on seven different counts, narrated by Canton Public Safety Department and subsequently published by WWJ Newsradio.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has authorized a range of charges, encompassing the felony of discharging a firearm into a building, possessing a firearm as a prohibited person, and assault with a dangerous weapon, to name a few. Furthermore, accusations of domestic violence and habitual offenses aggravate Campbell's legal battle. As reported by Hometown Life, he will again present himself before the court come Nov. 22.
After he was arraigned by Magistrate Malaika Ramsey-Heath of the 36th District Court, Campbell's bond was affixed at $50,000, with obligatory home confinement should he be released.
