The City of Glendale has recently announced the appointment of Kimberly Hall as its new Community Services Director. With a lengthy career dedicated to public service, Hall steps into the role previously held by Jean Moreno, who retired after 30 years, as per the City of Glendale. Her track record includes pivotal positions at Goodwill Industries across various regions, where she specialized in workforce development and disaster recovery efforts. Hall's first day with the city of Glendale is set for November 12.
As the Community Services Director, Hall's remit will include overseeing strategic planning and policy development. Additionally, she will be tasked with managing community funding and engagement initiatives designed to bolster services for residents. Steering a team of over 110, Hall will support a range of programs running the gamut from neighborhood revitalization, community housing, to library services. "We are excited to have a proven leader step into a role supporting the critical needs of our residents," said City Manager Kevin Phelps, in an announcement. "The direct impact this department has on our community is significant, and Kimberly brings not only years of professional experience but also years of experience in leading organizations that serve the community in impactful ways."
Prior to taking the helm in Glendale, Hall served as the Chief Executive Officer at Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County. She also held a key role at Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi, guiding the organization in service contracts and disaster recovery. Now, she embarks on a new journey in Glendale, aiming to elevate the community's access to essential services and economic opportunities.
