The search is ongoing for a suspect following a midday shooting incident involving a woman who was in the process of renting a scooter in Hollywood last month. According to KTLA, the shooting occurred on October 15 at around noon near Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue.
The Los Angeles Police Department has described the suspect as a man who, trying to escape, "initiated an argument" that quickly escalated. He reportedly fired a semi-automatic handgun multiple times at the woman, striking her multiple times before he fled the scene heading south on Western Avenue, as reported by KTLA. The victim, fortunately, survived her injuries which were reported as non-life-threatening.
A bystander managed to capture photographs of the man believed to be responsible for the shooting. The LAPD is actively seeking assistance to identify the suspect, circulating the images in hopes that the public can provide valuable information. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 in height, and weighing between 130 and 160 pounds, looking to be in the age range of 20 to 25 years.
