Early this morning, a school bus in Las Vegas became the unintended target of another road incident. A white sedan failed to observe a stop sign at the intersection of Eldora Avenue and Lindell Road, resulting in a collision with the bus. The bus, carrying six children, veered off the road and onto a front lawn as a result of the impact, according to a FOX5 Vegas report.

The incident, occurring around 6:07 AM, also left the bus driver with minor injuries, which may include a possible broken leg. Fortunately, the children involved were reported to have sustained only minor bumps and bruises and were later safely retrieved by their parents. An investigation into the events leading up to the crash is currently underway by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County School District Police Department.

News3LV reported that the driver of the sedan is suspected of being under the influence at the time of the crash. Preliminary tests suggest DUI, though further details have yet to be released.

Both the drivers of the sedan and the bus, along with the two students aboard, were transported to a hospital to treat their injuries after the incident.
