The City of Lewisville has put out the call for creative minds to step forward, as they open their 2025 ColorPalooza logo design contest exclusively to student artists. Local students with a flair for design and a yearning to showcase their talents now have an opportunity to contribute their vision to this community-centric festival. Eligible participants are those residing in Lewisville, attending grades 9 through 12 at any state-certified public or private school, including home-schooled students who meet the same grade-level requirement.
Entrants have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, to submit their design entries. Submissions are to be sent electronically or physically delivered to Denise Helbing, Arts Center Manager at the Lewisville Grand Theater. Every design will be considered, however, a panel of expert judges, professionals in design and marketing fields, are set to quickly review all eligible entries and elect a winning logo. This winning design will not only garner recognition but will be utilized to symbolically represent ColorPalooza 2025 across various promotional items and merchandise.
The City of Lewisville has outlined the complete set of guidelines and criteria for the contest on its official website. The “ColorPalooza Logo Contest” page on the City of Lewisville website details the requirements for submission, along with any additional information participants might need.
The fortunate student with the winning design will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship meant for college or higher education costs, courtesy of the Greater Lewisville Arts Alliance. In addition, they will have the prestige of being publicly recognized at the ColorPalooza 2025 event, scheduled for April 26. The scholarship will be directly paid to the educational institution of the student's choosing, whether that be a traditional four-year university, community college, institute, or trade school.
