
Tragedy struck the streets of Los Angeles when a 41-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, lost his life in a hit-and-run incident while crossing Highland Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred on August 14, 2024, and involved multiple vehicles that struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.
LAPD's West Traffic Division detectives are now actively seeking to find the individuals involved. The victim, a resident of North Hollywood, was hastily transported to a local hospital after the incident, but later succumbed to his injuries. Detectives urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision to quickly come forward in hopes of justly resolving this tragedy.
A statutory reminder was issued, emphasizing the responsibility motorists have to stop and identify themselves when involved in a collision. A local ordinance is in place to incentivize individuals with knowledge of hit-and-run perpetrators, offering up to $50,000 for information that could lead to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for such incidents.
