Macomb County Man Charged With Delivery of Fentanyl Causing Death, Faces Child Exploitation AllegationsSource: Macomb County Prosecutor's Office

Macomb County man, Ronald Kevin Hill, age 36, faces serious allegations following a deepening inquiry into a fatal overdose incident and ensuing charges of child exploitation. According to CBS News Detroit, Hill has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death, along with multiple counts related to the possession and distribution of fentanyl and child sexually abusive material.

On November 17, 2023, a tragic scene unfolded on Romeo Plank Road and Clinton River Road in Clinton Township, where a 30-year-old woman overdosed. Investigations conducted by the Clinton Township Police Department appeared to confirm that Hill was the individual who sold the drugs to the woman. In a statement obtained by ClickOnDetroit, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office detailed that the warrant for Hill's arrest was issued promptly after the tragedy.

Following Hill's arrest on Tuesday, police discovered cocaine in his possession, and further evidence implicating him in the exploitation offense was uncovered. Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido termed the defendant's alleged actions as a reflection of "The defendant's alleged actions reflect a deeply disturbing disregard for both human life and the welfare of our most vulnerable," as reported by CBS News Detroit.

The bond for Hill concerning the drug-related charges was set at $50,000 personal bond, with a subsequent bond for the child exploitation charges fixed at $500,000 cash/surety only, according to ClickOnDetroit.

Furthermore, the law enforcement investigation led to findings of child sexually abusive material on Hill's phone. This discovery enforced an additional layer of criminal charges against him. Hill is now set to nearly face multiple court dates, wherein a probable cause hearing in connection with the fatal drug case is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12, whereas the child exploitation charges will be heard the following day, as disclosed by FOX 2 Detroit.
