The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed an arrest following a stabbing incident in Northwest Washington, D.C. According to MPD, the altercation that led to the stabbing happened yesterday morning, around 1:00 a.m. on the 1800 block of 7th Street.
Officers were called to the scene where the victim, whose name hasn't been released, reported being stabbed after an argument with the perpetrator, who subsequently fled. Despite the violence, the victim's injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and they were quickly taken to a local hospital.
Not long after the incident, police managed to locate the suspect. Maurice Felder, 53, with no fixed address, was apprehended by authorities and is now facing charges. A statement from the Metropolitan Police Department indicates Felder was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). The incident remains an open investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
