A man died in a crash in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia early yesterday morning. The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. at Algon Avenue and Rhawn Street, involving a gold Honda Accord and a 2019 blue Nissan. Police said the Honda driver, a man in his 30s, ran a red light before the collision, according to NBC Philadelphia.
The 29-year-old female driver of the Nissan was traveling north with a green light when her car collided with the Honda, which crashed into a pole and caught fire. The Honda driver was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital but was pronounced dead at 4:00 a.m. Police confirmed that the Nissan, though it struck the Honda, was not at fault, Shore News Network reported.
