On the afternoon of November 4, the serenity of Foxgate Drive in Hickory Hill, Memphis, was shattered when five males reportedly broke into a home through the backyard door. Action News 5 reports that the suspects made away with a Sony PlayStation 5 and a 10-point Titan Compound hunting bow, items not typically linked by any narrative other than their conjoint fate in this brazen daylight burglary.
Witnesses described seeing the group of males at approximately noon walking in an area ranging from the 3200 to 3300 block of Foxgate Drive, a stretch of suburban landscape caught off guard by the intrusion. With one suspect brandishing a firearm and pointing it at the house, the security of home and heart was compromised, according to a social media post by the Memphis Police Department on Facebook. This armed individual stood out, dressed in a shirt boldly emblazoned with white lettering down its sleeves, his black pants marked by white five-pointed stars.
Despite the explicit details shared by authorities, including clothing descriptions and the fact that a handgun played a threatening role in the event, the Memphis Police Department has yet to apprehend the suspects. The urgency felt by the community is echoed in a statement procured by FOX13 Memphis, beseeching anyone with information to step forward.
Pertaining to the ongoing investigation, there are avenues open for citizens to aid in the capture of these suspects. The Memphis Police Department has advised that tips can be submitted anonymously via their website or through the "P3 Tips" mobile app, with a cash reward on the table for information leading to an arrest. They have provided a direct line to Crime Stoppers, (901) 528-CASH, for those who might have insights on the crime, as detailed on their official Facebook page.
