Yesterday morning, a Michigan State Police trooper sustained minor injuries during a crash involving a pickup truck in Jackson. As reported by Audacy, the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Van Dorn Street. The troopers were patrolling the area when the truck, driven by a 66-year-old Spring Arbor man, ran through the stop sign and collided with the cruiser's passenger side.

The injured trooper was in the passenger seat at the time of the accident and was later released from Henry Ford Hospital Jackson after receiving treatment for minor injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed in the incident. Alcohol is a factor believed in the crash, as stated by WLNS.
