Milwaukee residents can expect a mixed bag of weather this week, starting with a 40 percent chance of rain today and gusty conditions that could reach 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The overcast skies will persist, with today's high nearing 49 degrees, while temperatures are set to take a dive tonight, down to a low around 24 degrees, accompanied by clearer skies and brisk west winds.
Tomorrow's forecast promises sunny skies; although the chill remains firmly in place with a high near 36 degrees and the wind keeping things brisk at 10 to 15 mph, it's these gusts that could once again ramp up to 30 mph. Looking ahead to Wednesday, there's a slight morning chance of rain and snow that could give way to a 30 percent chance of precipitation later in the day, with temperatures peaking around 41 degrees. No significant reprieve is expected as we roll into the evening, with mostly cloudy conditions and a low around 26 degrees, as stated by the NWS.
For individuals planning their Thanksgiving Day, the NWS projects a mostly sunny day though it carries a 20 percent possibility of snow before noon with a high near 35 followed by another mostly cloudy night with the thermometer dipping to around 21 degrees. Friday and Saturday offer more sunshine despite lows plummeting to the mid to low teens and a persistent, albeit slight, snow chance lingers through the weekend.
The weather will fluctuate throughout the week, much like our efforts to adapt to nature's changes. As Sunday wraps up the week, Milwaukeeans can brace for a 20 percent chance of snow but may find solace in the mostly sunny climax with highs again hovering around 28 degrees, the cold embrace of late November asserting its presence as a steady prelude to December's wintry overture.
