The collaborative efforts of Texas law enforcement have culminated in the arrest of Adiah Namir Roberson, a fugitive featured on Texas' 10 Most Wanted list. Roberson, a 17-year-old suspect accused of a murder at a drive-in restaurant and forgery of a government document, was arrested on October 22 in southeast Dallas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The capture was a direct result of a tip submitted through Crime Stoppers, for which a reward is slated for payment.

Found in an apartment complex, Roberson's apprehension unfolded as the DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Special Agents, working with the U.S. Marshals Texas Fugitive Task Force out of San Antonio and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, responded to tip information. Assisted in the arrest, where the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and the Grand Prairie Police Department also lent their hand, revealing the essential partnership between the various bodies of law enforcement to secure Roberson's detainment, as per the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Individuals providing actionable information that leads to an arrest are eligible for a cash reward. In 2024, thanks to tips from the public, there have been 39 arrests of listed fugitives, including 14 sex offenders, 10 gang members, and four criminal illegal immigrants, totaling $24,000 in rewards, the DPS reports.

To maintain anonymity and safety, tipsters must use one of three methods to relay information: by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline, submitting a web tip through the DPS website, or providing information via Facebook. Each method is designed to ensure that the identity of the informant is shielded securely by a tip number instead of a name. The DPS, in partnership with local law enforcement, carefully selects candidates for the "Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders, and Criminal Illegal Immigrants" lists, which are available, complete with photos, on the DPS website.
