The Metropolitan Police Department has issued a call to the community for help in locating a suspect linked to a recent burglary in Southeast Washington, D.C. According to the police, the burglary took place in the early hours of October 19, when an individual unlawfully entered a property located on the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, removed various items, and then absconded from the scene, this was reported on the official MPD website.
In an effort to apprehend the individual responsible for the crime, MPD has released surveillance footage and photos captured during the incident; these can be viewed by the public through a link provided on their press release, the suspect is considered to be a person of interest in connection to the theft. Citizens with any information pertaining to the suspect or the incident are advised to not approach the individual, instead, they are encouraged to contact the police directly at (202) 727-9099 or to text their tips anonymously to 50411.
A monetary incentive has been announced by the Metropolitan Police Department, offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those accountable for the robbery.
