The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the community for help in identifying and locating individuals related to a recent assault and attempted robbery. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, in Northwest Washington, D.C.
According to the MPD, at around 8:05 p.m., two individuals were approached by suspects wielding a knife on the 800 block of L Street, Northwest. The suspects demanded property from the pair, but upon their refusal to comply, proceeded to physically assault them. Fortunately, the suspects did not manage to obtain any property before they decided to quickly flee the scene.
The MPD is actively seeking any information from the public that could lead to identifying and apprehending the suspects involved. The department has announced that a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for any information that significantly leads to an arrest and conviction in this incident, as stated on the MPD's website.
