The Massachusetts State Police recently announced the capture of Tajon Saxon, a 26-year-old from New Bedford, who had been eluding law enforcement as a suspect in multiple homicides in Fall River. According to Massachusetts State Police News, Saxon was apprehended while hiding in the bathroom of a third-floor apartment, marking the end of a manhunt that stretched across the East Coast.

Saxon was wanted in connection with three homicides, including a 2023 murder and a double homicide from May 2021. After a failed attempt to locate him at the outset, Saxon was placed on the State Police Most Wanted list earlier this year. His arrest involved collaborative efforts between multiple departments, culminating in his capture without incident by the State and New Bedford Police personnel.

"Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section work collaboratively with our partners every day to pursue, locate, and apprehend individuals wanted for violent crimes that negatively impact quality of life," stated Massachusetts State Police Colonel Geoffrey Noble. Noble commended the partnerships with local police departments in New Bedford and Fall River for their dedication in pursuing this case, according to Massachusetts State Police News.

Following his arrest, Saxon was booked at the Dartmouth Barracks. The case is now with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, according to the report by the Massachusetts State Police News.
