The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) recently celebrated the addition of 27 new troopers to its ranks, following their graduation from the State Trooper Academy. The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, November 21, marked the culmination of rigorous training for Class 36, consisting of 18 cadets and nine lateral officers from other law enforcement agencies.
According to an announcement by AZDPS, Colonel Jeffrey Glover, Director of the AZDPS, officiated the ceremony in Mesa, imparting his wisdom and administering the oath of office to the new graduates. Each of these new troopers, now transitioning from theoretical to practical highway patrol duties, is set to embark on a 12-week field training program supervised by senior troopers.
The agency has detailed assignments for the new troopers, broadcasting their dispersal across the grand terrain of Arizona – an expanse that will soon be traced by these fresh enforcers of the law. The graduates will be stationing themselves throughout Arizona, with postings in Benson, Bullhead City, Casa Grande, Flagstaff, and several other communities, including a multiple-area deployment throughout Phoenix, as detailed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
"Congratulations to Class 36!" the AZDPS stated.
