Over the weekend, a tragic event unfolded in Norton Shores, where a collision at the intersection of Grand Haven Road and Sternberg Road claimed the lives of two residents. Last Saturday afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., an 84-year-old operating a Honda CR-V failed to observe a red traffic signal and collided with a Honda Accord driven by a 71-year-old, as reported by FOX 17.
According to the WOODTV coverage, the driver of the CR-V perished at the scene while the individual driving the Accord succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a local hospital. Both individuals were the sole occupants of their vehicles. Norton Shores Police Department has yet to release the names of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
