Peoria teens are invited to add a dash of creativity to the holiday season this year by constructing their very own gingerbread houses. Set in the welcoming confines of local libraries, the event offers a chance for the youth to express themselves with sugary confections and celebrate wintry traditions. According to the City of Peoria's announcement, participants will use graham crackers, frosting, and an assortment of candies to craft their edible architectural wonders.
The festive workshops are planned for Monday, December 2, between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and they are set to take place at two locations: the Peoria Main Library and the Sunrise Mountain Library. Teens can sign up for the Main Library event online, by accessing the link provided by the city.
Whether teens choose to take their creations home or devour them on the spot, the activity promises to be as much about constructing camaraderie as it is about constructing houses made of cookie dough. Space for the workshops is limited, so early registration is recommended. Interested parties, can sign up for the Sunrise Mountain Library event by visiting the provided sign-up page.
