The Plymouth History Center is gearing up to spread some holiday cheer with its first-ever Merry Market, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Old Town Hall, located at 3605 Fernbrook Lane. According to a recent announcement from the City of Plymouth, the event promises a showcase of local talent and handcrafted goods, ideal for those looking to buy unique gifts or indulge in some festive shopping.
Visitors at the Merry Market will have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities, which include snapping photos in a winter-themed photo booth and trying their hands at mini wreath decorating. A festive treat, compliments of the house, attendees may also savor hot chocolate and cookies – but only while supplies last. The community-focused event appears to be setting itself up as a happy convergence of Plymouth's creative spirits and those eager to revel in some seasonal joy.
Families with young ones will find an added slice of North Pole magic with Santa’s Mailbox being present at the event. As reported by the City of Plymouth, letters deposited for Santa Claus must come with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to secure a personalized response from Santa’s team of helpful elves, a special touch to heighten the enchantment for the little ones.
For those interested in more details or looking to participate as a vendor, they are encouraged to reach out to Ryan Barland, the Historical Site Coordinator. He can be contacted at 763-509-5229 and is expected to be a source of valuable information and assistance for both vendors and attendees alike, ensuring the success of this inaugural event.
