
A tragic event unfolded last week in Montgomery County as a Virginia woman lost her life in a car crash. According to a Montgomery County Department of Police news release, Alyssa Marie Clark, a 42-year-old from Reston, was killed in a single-vehicle accident late Thursday evening.
The crash, which is still under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit, happened around 10:31 p.m. in the vicinity of Darnestown Road and Bondy Lane. Responding to the scene, 1st District officers and Fire Rescue personnel from Montgomery County found Clark's blue 2007 Toyota Camry off the road, having collided with a utility pole.
Details are sparse as detectives work to piece together the circumstances leading to this incident. However, authorities have shared that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Darnestown Road before the crash. The reasons why Clark's car veered off the road are yet to be disclosed by the investigators.
