Drivers in Charlotte County should prepare for some roadwork inconveniences next week, as a section of Enterprise Drive will be temporarily shutting down. According to the county's recent traffic advisory, this road closure will happen on Wednesday, and will continue through Thursday.
The closure is planned for mill and overlay operations on Market Circle, a necessary maintenance to keep the thoroughfare in proper shape for its daily stream of traffic. During this time, "advance warning signs and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic," the Charlotte County website states, though motorists can expect "intermittent, slow-moving traffic and/or temporary delays within the project area."
Public Works officials are encouraging those who normally traverse this route to consider an alternate path to avoid the construction-related disruptions. Re-routing is often an effective measure to minimize traffic congestion and lessen the impact on one’s daily commute when faced with such interruptions.
The Public Works department is reachable for any further clarification and guidance on the matter, tolling the line of communication wide open at (941) 575-3600. In addition, inquiries can be submitted via email to [email protected], for those who may seek to plan their commutes or have questions regarding the roadwork.
