
A trio of juveniles, mere kids really at 13, 12, and 11, have found themselves in the hands of law enforcement following a pair of commercial burglaries in Rockville. The oldest among them has been formally charged with the nighttime heists that occurred yesterday morning.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department's press release, the three entered and robbed the Superior Auto Service on Wilkins Avenue, lifting property before leaving behind a business now less whole. As the police investigated, still wrapping their brains around the first crime, word broke of a second burglary in the same block at RMA Transportation.
The 13-year-old, now facing two counts of second-degree burglary and conspiracy, has weighted the judicial system placed upon their shoulders with charges by the police, reported by Montgomery County. All too soon, released to the custody of their guardian, this young person must navigate the complexities of adulthood's consequences.
Meanwhile, the younger accomplices, with years scarcely reaching double digits, have been delivered back to their guardians. No charges have been noted for them in the reports.
