A substantial drug bust occurred in Southern California, resulting in one arrest and the discovery of 88 pounds of methamphetamine. According to a KTLA report, San Bernardino County officials announced after a sheriff's sergeant happened upon two suspicious trailers on vacant land in Phelan.
The encounter began when the sergeant from the sheriff's department approached the trailers connected to a generator in the 13500 block of Rosado Road, as per KTLA. As he did, multiple individuals fled the scene. In the chaos that ensued, authorities were able to detain Carlos Adrian Lizarraga, 39, a resident of Phelan. Other suspects, however, remain unidentified as initial reports did not reveal further details on them.
Following the incident, deputies served a search warrant on the trailers, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine, two AR-style rifles, and a handgun, as detailed by the SBSD Victor Valley Sheriff's Department. Lizarraga now faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance while armed manufacturing of a controlled substance, and illegal possession of an assault weapon. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center, and, is being held in place on $1 million bail.
