According to the Raleigh Police Department, the robbery occurred around 5 p.m. within the bustling confines of the Avent Ferry Shopping Center. The perpetrator, yet to be apprehended, succeeded in illicitly acquiring an undisclosed sum of money after presenting a note to the bank teller that demanded cash.
No weapon was brandished during the robbery, however, its presence was suggested, as indicated by a statement obtained by CBS17. The suspect, caught on surveillance footage, was described as a male donning a white T-shirt, dark trousers, and a light-colored baseball cap and was last seen with a dark-hued item of clothing draped over his left shoulder.
