The Snohomish County Litter Wranglers have wrapped up their 2024 season, collecting over 2,500 bags of trash and cleaning nearly 500 miles of county roads. Despite having a smaller team this year, the initiative, which ran from April to October, helped maintain the region's natural beauty.

According to the Snohomish County release, this program not only improves cleanliness but also allows road maintenance teams to focus on other important tasks, saving both time and money. Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers praised the citizens' expectations for clean roads and recognized the Wranglers for their dedication to making the county a better place to live. Since the program began in 2017, the Litter Wranglers have collected over 30,000 bags of litter.

Snohomish County Public Works Director Kelly Snyder, said, "The Litter Wranglers is a special program that defines our county’s commitment to service. The team receives a steady flow of thanks from the public throughout the six months its members are out and about. Clearly, these employees positively contribute to so many peoples’ well-being and community cleanliness,” in the same release.

Looking ahead to 2025, the return of the Litter Wranglers is anticipated to continue promoting environmental stewardship. The program supports not just the aesthetic appeal of the roads but also the shared responsibility for maintaining a clean, growing community.
