Despite the earlier kickoff, the Sooners will wear their anthracite “Unity” uniforms to honor Prentice Gautt, the first Black scholarship player at OU. They will face the Black Bears with home fans present, aiming to secure a win against both the visiting team and the approaching storms, as noted by Oklahoma Football on social media.
Viewers at home can stream the nonconference game live on ESPN+ and the SEC Network. Access is available for ESPN+ subscribers or through the ESPN app if it is included in their cable package, as Tulsa World reports.
Gates at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will open at 9 a.m. for fans, with tailgating and pregame events beginning at 7 a.m., subject to traffic and weather conditions. The traditional Walk of Champions is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. The university is taking measures to support fans’ game day experience and facilitate safe travel home, as reported by KOCO.
While the final score remains to be seen, the University of Oklahoma has a plan in place for inclement weather.
