That's because the City of St. Augustine is rolling out its annual community recycle event, which is free of charge and happening rain or shine. From 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, you can drop off a variety of items at the Solid Waste Facility on 601 Riberia Street.
The setup is easy and convenient: it's a drive-thru process designed to make recycling your unwanted items a breeze. Residents can bring up to five boxes of documents for shredding, and rest assured, you can watch your sensitive papers turned to confetti right on-site. Electronic waste is also welcome, though the event is specifically targeting outdated or broken devices. just keep in mind that some items, such as TVs, hazardous waste like paint and pesticides, used tires, and motor oil, won't make the cut for this round of recycling.
According to the city's official release, St. Augustine has a tradition of making it easier for its locals to live green.
